Mangaluru, Apr 1: A student lost Rs 1.11 lac by clicking on the link that was sent on his WhatsApp by a stranger.

The student clicked the link that was sent to him by the stranger on March 1. On March 3 and 4, Rs 1.11 lac was withdrawn from his account in various transactions. When the victim student inquired about the withdrawal in the bank, he came to know the withdrawn amount was transferred to a bank account of Lachmang branch of Sikar district of Rajasthan of Indusind Bank.

A case in this connection is registered in CEN police station of the city.
