Bengaluru, Mar 31: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a press conference and released the list of candidates for the upcoming Karnataka legislative assembly elections.
Addressing the press, state president of AAP Prithvi Reddy said, “The AAP has made better preparations than other political parties to face the assembly elections. The party has given opportunity for commoners to contest elections. Honest selection will be done in every constituency. A list of 80 candidates is already released. Today, we are releasing the list of 60 candidates. Eleven women are given an opportunity and 14 farmers are contesting on our party ticket. A former conductor of BMTC is also given a ticket. According to a survey, 46% people have said no to Congress. The person who defeated the
sitting CM of Punjab is a mobile repairer.”
Prabhakar Poojary is selected as AAP candidate for Udupi, while Dr B K Vishukumar will contest from Puttur constituency.
