Bantwal, Mar 26: B K Hariprasad, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, criticized the BJP party at a Kavita Prajadhwani Yatra program in Bantwal on Saturday.
Speaking under the auspices of Panmangaluru and Bantwala Block Congress, Hariprasad stated that the district, which has five medical colleges under the panchayat of a small rural area called Deralakatte, is a model for Gujarat and UP.
He further criticized the BJP for only highlighting one successful individual and failing to organize any programs for the country's poor.
The rally was attended by various Congress members, including former minister B Ramanatha Rai, AICC secretary Roji M John, and District Congress Committee president Harish Kumar. Many other officials, including Panchayat Raj Union District president Subhash Chandra Shetty Kulalu and Youth Congress National president secretary Suhail Khandak, were also present on the stage. Panemangalore Block Congress President Sudeep Kumar Shetty Mani welcomed the attendees, while Legislative Council Member Dr Manjunath Bhandari proposed a vote of thanks. The program was narrated by Mani Gram Panam president Balakrishna Alva Kodaje.
