Hubballi, Mar 13: A massive Modi Tsunami has come to the fore in Karnataka and the ruling BJP will win in the next assembly elections with a clear mandate, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in Hubballi on Monday.
Speaking to reporters, a day after the Prime Minister’s visit to Mandya and Mysuru districts, he said Modi is a tall leader and has held India high and ensured internal security by ensuring tight security on the international border.
“Modi took the country on the path of development and helped crores of poor people during the Covid pandemic,’’ he said praising the Prime Minister for his leadership.
Replying to a question, the Chief Minister said he and Housing Minister V Somanna are old friends and they had met informally in Hubballi.
Politics was not discussed during their discussion, he said asserting that Somanna will be remaining in BJP.
Later, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for various projects and also participated in the conference of beneficiaries of different Central and State Government projects at Ron in Gadag district.
Ministers B A Basavaraj and CC Patil, Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation Chairman Kalakappa Bandi, MLA Ramanna Lamani, MLC S V Sankanur, Ron Civic Chief Rangamma and others were present.
