Beltangady, Jun 13: Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) invites applications from students for scholarships who are the children of economically-weaker parents and are members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) that are promoted by SKDRDP for over a year.
SKDRDP has set a target to distribute 8,000 scholarships in the academic year to the talented students in Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Uttar Kannada, Kodagu, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts whose parents are members of SHGs promoted by SKDRDP and their annual income is less than Rs 42,000. SKDRDP has been distributing scholarships to the students who hail from economically-weaker background and whose parents are members of SHGs since the past three years or more.
