Mangaluru, Jan 19: MLA Dr Bharath Shetty said the Surathkal Circle will certainly be renamed after Veer Savarkar.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for developing the Surathkal junction at a cost of Rs 5 crore on Wednesday he said all decks have been cleared at the corporation level to rename the circle after Veer Savarkar.
Referring to the toll fees he said people are aware about who had introduced the toll levy during the UPA regime.
He alleged that the toll gate protesters were certain that the toll gates will be merged in February and so they were staging protests only as a pretext.
He said the sewage system that was laid by the earlier government had come apart within three months adding that the MLA should apologise to the public for the same.
He said when Roshan Baig was the urban development minister he had ordered a Lokayukta probe into the sewage construction issue and who had been given protection needs to be known.
Dr Bharath Shetty said development of Honnakatte and Kottara junctions were progressing well adding that the development of Surathkal junction and the bus stand will be completed within the next months.
