Panaji, May 23 (PTI) Goa government today launched a probe into the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) marksheets goof-up episode in which authorities had recalled 12,000 marksheets from students.
Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) had announced the HSC results on May 18 and within two days, withdrew all the mark-sheets following a computing error in them.
State Education Minister Atanasio Monserratte constituted a committee headed by his secretary V P Rao to inquire into the incident.
Official sources stated that the committee will note the statements of the board officials and also the staff responsible for preparing marksheets.
The Secretariat stated that the Education Ministry refrained from shunting any official for the time being as SSC results are yet to be declared, they said.
"If any concerned official is held responsible for the post, it will further delay the results," an official said.
