Bantwal, Dec 8: The government has transferred Punjalkatte Police Station SI Suthesh to the office of the SP on charges of dereliction of duty.

The transfer orders were sent at 12 midnight. SI Suthesh was facing a controversy regarding the arrest of a young lawyer. Various organizations had descended down to streets and held protests in this connection.

Uppinangady police SI Nandakumar has been handed over the responsibility of Punjalkatte police station at present.

    Lawyers are not above the Law. The day Government issues a order that public can present their cases directly in the courts without depending on these Lawyers, public will be happier & will be able to solve the cases quickly & easily without any complications from these liers. Enough is enough.

    Must be a brave officer ..While we do not know the actual facts ..It is possible that the lawyers think that they are the guardians of law and hence above law.

    Ms. Rita Germany. About police good or bad those who come across with it only know. But one thing sure, without harri patti, nothing will move. Each and every job has a certain amount fixed. Now it is up to you to decide "Poor SI had to ?or Police was really so bad?"
