New Delhi, Dec 5: All eyes are on the exit poll results conducted by various agencies in collaboration with media houses as the final phase of polling for the Gujarat assembly ended this evening.
While Himachal Pradesh is expected to remain a contest between the ruling BJP and the Congress notwithstanding the fact Aam Aadmi Party has fielded its candidates. In the case of Gujarat, AAP's aggressive campaign has made it a three-cornered contest with the party likely to eat into the vote share of the ruling BJP and the Congress.
TV9 has predicted BJP to win Gujarat Assembly polls with 125-130 seats and Congress is likely to get 30-40 seats while AAP is predicted to win 3-5 seats. Jan Ki Baat has predicted BJP's victory in Gujarat with 117-140 seats while Congress is expected to get 34-51 seats and AAP is likely to win 6-13 seats.
In Himachal Pradesh, P-Marg has predicted BJP to win 34-39 seats while Times Now-ETG has predicted 38 seats for BJP, 28 for Congress. According to Axis- My India exit polls, Congress is set to win 35 seats, BJP 29 seats and AAP 4.
The results for Gujarat and Himachal Assembly polls will be announced on December 8.
