Swami Sugunendrateerta was delivering a religious discourse during the 21st annual day celebrations of Durga Mitra Vranda, held under the aegis of Durga Temple, Kunjoor, at the temple premises here recently.
“Religion is embodied in Indian culture. India is the abode of contemporary Hinduism and it is the duty of everyone to revive the religion,” he added.
Durga temple managing trustee Nadimane B Mohan Rao presided over the programme.
Temple priest Vedamurti Kenja Sridar Tantri, entrepreneur Pramod Madwaraj, ZP member Arun Shetty, folk art scholar K L Kundantaya, Yellur Vishvanath temple managing trustee Y Praful Shetty, Yellur gram panchayat president Sumana S, and Yellur gram panchayat vice-president Rahim Kunjoor were the chief guests on the occasion.
Durga Mitra Vranda secretary Satish Shetty Kunjoor welcomed the gathering. Honorary president Chakrapani Udupa and president Chandrahas Acharya presented the annual report. Bhajan committee
