Karkala, May 6: Residents of Hudco Colony in Kukkundoor village of the taluk found to their horror, that a dog was roaming around with the mortal remains of a newborn baby in its mouth, on Thursday May 5 evening. They shooed away the dog after recovering the baby’s body, and passed on the information to the policemen.
The policemen came on the spot and sent the body to Manipal Hospital for further information. The incident, happening second time within a matter of 40 days within the jurisdiction of the local police station, has come as a surprise.
