Mangalore, May 4: K Upendra Nayak, 68, dean of the MBA department of Alvas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodbidri in the taluk, passed away on Saturday April 30. He is survived by wife and a son.
Nayak, who secured his engineering degree from Karnataka Regional Engineering College Suratkal, and MBA from a university in USA, had worked for concerns like Choughule Company and Salgaonkar Shipping Yard in Goa, Lamina Suspension Products, Lanco, etc, before joining Alvas College. He also had served as the trustee of Lakshminarayana and Mukhyaprana temples in Kumble.
