Mangalore, May 4: A team of Corps of Detectives (COD) officials visited Suratkal police station on Tuesday May 3 to collect information about the murder of Sukhananda Shetty. The state government has entrusted 15 cases in which Madoor Isubu was allegedly involved, to COD for investigation.
CID deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Lakshmipati Gowda, and intelligence DySP, T R Jagannath, were in the team. Jagannath was the station house officer of Suratkal police station when the above murder had occurred. Sukhananda Shetty, a Hindu leader from Mulky, who was gaining popularity because of his leadership qualities, was waylaid and killed in front of the office in Kulai where he was working, on December 1, 2006.
