Doha, Oct 9: The Dussehra-Bathukamma celebrations organized by Telangana Praja Samiti in Doha Qatar hit the mark. Loyola International School in Doha was the venue for these celebrations. A celebratory mood has been prevailing among a larger section of the Telangana expatriate community across the Gulf region as Bathukamma festivities that prevailed in the pre-pandemic times return. After being a low-profile affair owing to the pandemic in the past two years, the excitement for an elaborate Bathukamma and saddula pindi has been rekindled, this year’s Bathukamma.
Telangana Praja Samithi president Gadde Srinivas presided over a large number of gathering of Indian expatriate men & women who gathered at the premises on Thursday evening. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India in Doha Qatar was the chief guest of the ceremony and attended the event and congratulated everyone. He was accompanied by the first lady. As part of the program, local Indian expatriate women and children entertained the guests with cultural programs.
The Telangana Praja Samiti working group honored all the dignitaries who supported this program and felicitated them with shawls and souvenirs. The show enthralled the viewers with interesting cultural programs and the delicious dinner was served. About 1500 Telangana expatriate friends and their family members visited the program and thanked the Telangana Praja Samiti working group for organizing the celebrations in a grand manner. Channel 5 and Maa Gulf were the media partners for the event.
On behalf of the Telangana Praja Samithi working group, the chairman of Telangana Advisory Committee Chevaneni Tirupati, vice president of Telangana Praja Samithi Namala Surender, general secretary Putta Venkat Goud, treasurer Venu Prasad, cultural secretary Dharmaraju Yadav Panchitha, logistical secretary Manda Laxman, Venu Podakanti and all the members of the working group participated and expressed their heartfelt greetings to everyone.
