Traditionally industries, to a great extent even now, undertake process improvement focusing on individual process. With the advent of Quality Management Systems like ISO 9000 and Business Excellence Model companies are now trying to adopt an end to end process view approach of the whole business in order to optimize the business performance. In other words, under process approach the entire organization is viewed as a set of interacting processes aligning with the organisation’s strategy. To assimilate this shift in focus management at all levels has to pay time both in theory and practice with firm conviction.
The faculty for the programme is Dr. Prabir Kumar Bandyopadhyay. He has been with NPC as a Consultant-cum-Trainer in Process improvement. Before joining GIM, he was with Balasore Alloys Limited, (Ispat Group) as Head of Consulting & New Initiatives and Hindustan National Glass Industries Ltd, as GM(Systems). He has undergone training in Productivity & Quality Improvement in Japan and Singapore by Asian Productivity Organisation. He is a qualified lead Auditor in ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000 and also a qualified Business Excellence Model assessor and Sixsigma Black Belt holder. To ensure a highly interactive programme, the number of participants is restricted to 40 and the registration will be on a first-come-first served basis.
