Qatar, Sep 21: The release of the book on the life history of community leader, entrepreneur, Kannadiga Dr Moodambail Ravi Shetty was held recently at Ashok Auditorium, Indian cultural centre, Doha, Qatar.
Indian cultural centre president Babu Rajan was the chief guest of the programme. ICBF president Vinod Nayar was the guest of honour. Another entrepreneur of Qatar DPS school director Rocky Fernandes presided over the programme. Successful businessmen of Qatar, Jerald D’ Mello, Abdulla Monu, former president of Indian cultural centre Milan Arun, Qatar Karnataka Sangha former president H K Madhu were on the dais as the guests of honour.
Former president of the Indian cultural centre, Milan Arun welcomed and introduced Ravi Shetty.
Babu Rajan, who released the Kannada edition of Ravi Teja book commended the friendship, relationship and helping nature of Ravi Shetty. Vinod Nayar who released the English edition of the book threw light on the size and subject of the book. He praised Ravi Shetty who he said was always ready to help.
Jerald D’ Mello released the book by Mahabala Seetarabhavi translated by Ravi Shetty from Sanskrit to English.
Rocky Fernandes recollected the personality, capacity and experience of Ravi Shetty. He described Ravi Shetty as the pride of Tulu Nadu.
H K Madhu, former president of Karnataka Sangha explained briefly the contents of the books.
Ravi Shetty thanked Mumbai Kannada department head Dr G N Upadhya, Shantaram Shetty of I Lesa, Vijay, Professor Vivek Rai, Dr Doddarangegowda, justice Santhosh Hegde, Dr B M Hegde, poet Jayanth Kaikini, authors, Dr Poornima Sudhaker Shetty and translator Mithali Prasanna Rai.
Presidents of Karnataka based organizations, office bearers, ATS company staff, family members, friends and well-wishers took part. Mithali Prasanna Rai has translated the book to English.
Babu Rajan, president of the cultural centre, who conducted the Independence day of India celebrations and Vinod Nayar were felicitated on the occasion.
President of Qatar Karnataka toast master, author Sushma Harish compered the programme. Abdulla Monu rendered a vote of thanks.
