Antony Rozariyo Rego (73), son of the late Lawrence and the late Eugine Rego, husband of Rita Rego, father of Rachel Rego, brother of Irene/ Augustine D’Souza, the late Gration/ the late Leena Rego, passed away on April 2, 2025.

Mortal remains will be brought to the residence "Le Meridian" apartment, flat no. SN4, 7th floor, Kaprigudda, Attavar, Mangalore on Thursday, April 3 at 8.30 am for viewing and will leave the residence at 10:00 am for Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, Mangalore, followed by Mass at 10.30 am.

I'm not sure where to start, but I'll try to keep it together. I'm saying goodbye to an amazing guy who left an indelible mark on everyone he met, including me.I still remember meeting him back in the 80s when he came to our city with his family, seeking refuge from the Khalistan movement. Little did I know that this chance encounter would lead to a connection that would last a lifetime.He was the epitome of hard work and determination. From humble beginnings, doing odd jobs to make ends meet, to becoming a renowned painting contractor, he earned every ounce of respect and admiration.But what struck me most was his commitment to his family. He worked tirelessly to provide the best life for his loved ones, and his daughter was the apple of his eye.As I look back, I'm filled with a mix of emotions - sadness, regret, and gratitude. Regret for not being in touch for so long, but gratitude for the memories and lessons he left behind. To his family, I offer my deepest condolences. May you find strength in the memories of his love, laughter, and unwavering dedication. May you continue to make him proud by living your lives with the same integrity and resilience he embodied. And to my buddy's ( Late Jossy Fernandes )family, I share your grief and sorrow. May we all find solace in the memories of this incredible human being.Rest in peace, dear Tony. Your legacy will live on through the countless lives you touched.
