Puttur: Woman's Foot Crushed Under Train

Puttur, Apr 22: A woman had her foot crushed under a train at the Kabaka-Puttur railway station here, while alighting the train in a hurry.

Jayalaxmi had been to the train station to bid farewell to her relatives who had come to visit her family a few days ago. She boarded the train along with them but when the train started to move, she alighted in a hurry and slipped. Her feet got stuck under the moving train, and while one foot got badly crushed the other was fractured.

However, she later succumbed to her injuries, despite undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mangalore.
