Mangaluru, Sep 10: Two destitute who were rescued in the 2019 were reunited with the families by well-known NGO, the White Doves.
Nabisa (30) hailing from Sarjapur in Madhya Pradesh was found at Kankanady on May 29, 2019. It is said that her child went missing from a railway station in Rajasthan. Nabisa also landed in Kerala in search of her child and then she was taken to Madhya Pradesh. But the thought of her missing child was haunting Nabisa every now and then. She again went in search of her child and reached Kankanady. Nabisa’s husband had abandoned her long ago.
After three years, White Doves under the aegis of Corrine Rasquinha and manager Jerald, managed to find the contact of Nabisa’s family in Madhya Pradesh. Nabisa’s father Hashim Khan reached Mangaluru on September 8.
In another case, 24-year-old Mohammed Thoyib who is also called Shibhu hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was spotted by an activist Jeradine. He brought the matter to the notice of Corrine Rasquinha. Shibhu was rescued from Pandeshwar.
His father Ayub reached Mangaluru on September 10 and united with Shibhu. Both the father and son were emotional during their reunion. They also spoke with Shibhu’s mother via video call.
Shibhu was working in Tamil Nadu. Shibu and his sister’s marriage was fixed in his hometown. From his town, Shibhu reached his workplace in Tamil Nadu with his friend so that he could take money for his wedding. Instead of reaching back in Uttar Pradesh, Shibhu caught a different train and reached Bunder after four days of walking. He was then spotted by activist Jeradine at Pandeshwar.
In the last three years, Shibhu’s father Ayub searched for him in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Uttar Pradesh and Ahmedabad. Ayub works in a tailoring company in Ahmedabad. Ayub spent Rs three lac to search for his son travelling all the places in the country.
The reunion of Nabisa and Shibhu was White Doves’ 397th and 398th reunions.
