Mangaluru, Sep 9: Tulu movie 'Raj Sounds & Lights' directed by Rahul Amin celebrated 100 days of its theatrical screening, at townhall on Thursday September 8.
The movie team honoured a few organisations, artistes, technicians who have relentlessly worked for the success of the movie.
Mangaluru south MLA Vedavyas Kamath, mayor Premananda Shetty, president of Tulu Sahitya Acedamy Dayanand Kathalsar, managing director of Daijiworld Media Network Walter Nandalike, producer Frank Fernandes, actor Sai Krishna, actor Astik Shetty, Sathish Bandale, Devdas Kapikad, Mime Ramdas, Vismaya Vinayak, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, corporator Manohar Shetty, actor Prakash Dharmanagara, Ravi Rai Kalasa, Abhilash Shetty Kateel, Sathish Kumpala, KMC Hospital operations head Ravi Raj, producers Devdas Pandeshwar, Dhanraj, treasurer of Kudroli temple Padmaraj, Sadanand Upadhyaya, owner Namma Kudla, Leelaksha Karkera, properietor, Deenet Sandesh, producer Prakash Pandeshwar, senior art director Thamma Lakshamna, AJ hospital director Prashanth Maarla, KMC marketing head Rakesh Kumar, Akash Jain, Rakesh Shetty, Srinivas, corporator Sandeep and others were present.
All the dignitaries congratulated the entire team of Raj Sounds & Lights for reaching a milestone of 100 days.
Artistes performed unplugged version of several tracks.
Raj Sounds & Lights is a complete family entertainer produced by Anand N Kumpala and co-produced by B Ashok Kumar, Seetharam Shetty, Ajay Baliga, Suhan Prasad, Pawan Kumar, Nithin Raj Shetty and Arpith Adyar. The associate producers are Swastik Acharya, Sheikh Thoufeeq and Prashant Shetty. Jithesh Kumar is the executive producer.
The story was penned by VJ Vineeth while screenplay is written by director Rahul Amin along with VJ Vineeth.
‘Raj Sound & Lights’ has music by Srajan Kumar Tonse, editing by Plangle Studio, dialogues by Girgit fame Prasanna Shetty Bailoor, stunts by Chethan D’Souza and choreography by Naveen Shetty Aryans.
The DoP is Paddayi fame Prasad P and assisted by Jacob Johnson.
The main artistes are Vineeth Kumar, Yasha Shivakumar, Arvind Bolar, Karishma Amin, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Naveen D Padil, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Chaithra Shetty, Sandeep Shetty Maanibettu, Roopa Varkady, Mervin Shirva, Namith Kulur, and Ravi Ramjuja along with other noted actors.
For the first time, a Tulu movie was premiered in six Indian cities which includes Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Pune, Mumbai and Vadodara, and 11 countries such as Saudi Arabia, USA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE (Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai), United Kingdom, Nigeria, Israel, Oman and Zambia.
Raj Sounds & Lights was also released in Australia and Canada.
The film took the initiative in campaign urging to include Tulu language in Eighth Schedule and also a campaign to wear helmet. The team also contributed the collection of 50th day to the needy artistes and arranged shows for auto rickshaw drivers. The makers disclosed that the overall collection of the movie is Rs 4.5 crore.
