Daijiworld Media Network – Mysore (SP)

Mysore, Apr 18: “Both former Chief Minister, H D Kumaraswamy, and former deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, should never desert political field. Both have rich political background and experience. Such politicians need to remain in politics for long,” said state Chief Minister, B S Yeddyrappa.

He was replying to questions raised by media persons on his arrival at the Lalit Mahal helipad here enroute to Suttur to take part in a programme there, on Sunday April 17. His attention was drawn to the intention expressed by Kumaraswamy a couple of day back, to leave politics. He advised both Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah to remain in politics, and make efforts to set right wrongs found in the society. “They should not show their backs to the problems. I request them to continue to be in politics,” he asserted.

About the Central Empowered Committee report submitted to the Supreme Court regarding illegal mining in the state, he said that the state government will make its stand clear before April 21 in the form of reply. He said that his government has always been making efforts to arrest illegal mining in the state.
