Mangalore, Apr 14: Two motor bike-borne men died after a car hit their two-wheeler opposite Ayyappa Mandir near Kuloor Bridge on the outskirts of the city at around 11.15 pm on Wednesday April 13.
The deceased have been identified as Basavaraj from Bagalkot district, and Sharanappa from Koppal district, who lived in Kodical in the city. They were friends. The two had been to Panambur to visit an acquaintance in a Honda Street motor bike belonging to one of their friends. On their way back, an unidentified car hit their vehicle from behind and sped away, the eyewitnesses said.
The Kavoor policemen visited the scene of the accident some time later. A case was registered. Investigation is on.
