Mumbai: Krishna Ashtami celebrated at Pejavar math, Santacruz

Mumbai, August 20: The annual Krishna Ashtami was celebrated at Pejavar math, Santacruz. Kala Jagathu team performed Gokulananda Govinda dance skit written by Karnataka Rajyotsava award recipient Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty and directed by Amita Jatin.

Vidwan Raghavendra Jamadagni, Rathnaker Shetty, Rina Subhash Shetty, Dr Surendra Kumar Hegde, Pejavar math Mumbai heads Dr Ramadas Upadhyaya, Srihari Bhat Puthige and Prakash Acharya Ramakunja were on the dais. Pejavar math’s senior priest Ramadas Upadhyaya conducted pooja and blessed the devotees.

Poornaprajna Vidyapeeta Prathistana trustees, office bearers, Pejavar math branch Officer Niranjan J Gogte, Vishnutheertha Sali, Pavan Annigeri other priests and devotees were present. Procession of Krishna deity and Mosarukudike were held. Several religious rituals were held on the occasion.

Poornaprajna Vidyapeeta Prathistana honorary treasurer Avinash Shastri, trustees, office bearers, IITC director Vikranth Urval, Kishan J Shetty, Harish Shetty, IITC group’s Sridhar Rao Jokatte, Shekar J Salian, advocate Geeta L Bhat, Pejavar math branch officer Niranjan J Gogte, Mukund Baithamangalkar, Radhakrishna Bhat, Pavan Annigeri and other priests joined in celebrating the festival with religious and cultural programmes.
