Kasargod, Aug 19: The 25th annual Krishna Janmastami celebrations held under the aegis of Kumpala Balakrishna Mandira was set in motion by K T Suvarna, member of Karnataka government backward class group.

It was celebrated with pomp and gaiety in the evening with Mosaru Kudike and display of various still images.

Deralakatte Ayyappa Swamy temple managing trustee Chandrahas Adyantaya, Someshwar temple trustee Ramdas Someshwar, Mescom superintendent Pravin Ullal Bail, Govanitashraya trustee Ravi Rai Fajir, progressive farmer Ranjit Sulaya Manjanady, entrepreneur Srinivas Bengaluru, Balakrishna mandira president Sathish Kumpala, honorary president Devadas Bagambila, secretary Ravindra Kumpala, festival committee president Prahlad Kumar Indaje, secretary Harish Moorukatta, ladies wing committee president Sushila K, secretary Shalini Ganesh, Rajata Mahotsava committee honorary president Mohan Shetty and president Jagadish Acharya were present.

Pravin Kumpala compered the programme.
