Mumbai, Aug 19: Bantara Sangha Jnana mandira celebrated annual Krishnashtami under guidance from Mahavishnu Sangha president Chandrahas K Shetty and in the sponsorship of Bantara Sangha higher education division.

Higher education committee president CA I R Shetty and Kavita R Shetty couple were in charge of pooja.

Temple chief priest Vidwan Arvind Bannintaya performed poojas and distributed theertha prasada.

Ladies wing members conducted bhajans. Suresh Shetty Shibaroor and Ashok Pakkala group sang devotional songs. Various local competitions conducive to the festival were held.

Bantara Sangha vice president Ulthoor Mohandas Shetty, joint secretary Diwaker Shetty Indrali, joint treasurer Mundapa S Payyade, ladies wing president Uma Krishna Shetty, Jnana mandira committee president Krishna V Shetty, vice president Diwaker Shetty Kurla, secretary Suresh Shetty Shibaroor, treasurer Ashok Pakkala, S M Shetty educational institute president B R Shetty and a large number of devotees celebrated the feast in traditional attire.

The hall programme was presided over by president Chandrahas K Shetty who distributed prizes to competition winners and congratulated them. The programme concluded after serving meals.
