Margao, Apr 13: MP Shantaram Naik announced on Tuesday April 12 at Margao that he proposes to give computers, LCD Projectors, Laptops and Printers worth  more han one crore rupees  to schools in North and South Goa,  by  next one month.

Naik who was inaugurating a school building sponsored by Mr. Naik to Adult Education and Welfare Association at Gogal, Margao, built at the cost of rupees 23 lakhs said that electronic gadgets are a must for school in modern days, and that, teachers and students can improve their standards with the aid of electronic instruments.

Naik said he also proposes to give more than five mobile libraries for the use of rural areas, so that, reading habits get a boost and people get  easy access to reading material.

Luis Alex Cardoso, Ex-Panchayat Minister gave welcome speech.

Reginalso Laurence, MLA of Curtorim, Sadanand Naik, Councillor and Vishwas Nayak, Social Welfare Officer, Providoria, Margao, also spoke on the occasion.

Saltinho Gomes, General Secretary, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, compered the proceedings of the meeting.
