Shimoga, Apr 12 (PTI): BJP is gearing up to face possible mid-term elections to Lok Sabha which may take place soon, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa claimed today.
However, Yeddyurappa did not elaborate. He said there was no dissidence in the ruling BJP and meetings held with partymen by state unit president K S Eswrappa cannot be labelled as rebels' meeting.
"I also hold such meetings with MLAs to discuss issues concerning strengthening of the party," he told reporters here after participating in Ramnavami celebrations at his home town Shikaripura here. The new airport being built at Sogane village will be ready in another four months, he said.
The government has decided widen roads in the town before the onset of monsoon at a cost of Rs 60 crore.
