Mangalore: Legion of Mary - Seminar of Office-bearers Held

Mangalore, Apr 12: April 9 was a memorable day for all the office-bearers of Legion of Mary Presidia, Mangalore Diocese when they gathered at Samanvaya Hall in Urvastores for a day's seminar of office-bearers.

Dr Ronald Cutinha, Diocesan Spiritual Director of the Legion of Mary inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp and spoke a few words about the importance of the programme.

Aloysius D'Souza was the first to speak and he explained the duties and responsibilities of the President and Vice-President of the Legion Association. Subsequently, Judith Mascarenhas spoke on the role to be played by the Secretary and the Treasurer and create a harmonious atmosphere among the office-bearers.

Dr Ronald Cutinha being the moderator of the seminar expressed the need for a strong bond among the office-bearers and the members in order to work together and achieve the goal. There were group discussions and question-answer sessions which made the programme interesting. All participants took
active part and this was a great encouragement to the speakers.

Cynthia Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Irene Carlo introduced the trainers to the audience. President Alice Lobo compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. Seated on the dais were Sr Lilly Paula and Donath D'Almeida. There were 75 participants in the seminar who felt the get together gave them a refreshing change from their hectic routines.
