Bantwal: Cultural Education Camp at Tumari

Bantwal, Apr 12: Kinnara Mela Tumari, which has its headquarters at Tumari in Sagar taluk, Shimoga district, will be organizing a cultural education camp and cultural festival at Tumari from April 14 to 19.

At the said camp, lecture, demonstration, and practical on literature, cultural and social issues will be held. All these programmes will centre on theatre activity. Theatre personality, Prof H S Umesh, will be the camp director. A number of theatre activists, thinkers and scholars will participate as resource persons. As part of the cultural festival, which will go hand in hand with the camp, four plays will be presented in the evening by Neenasam, Rathabeedi Geleyaru Udupi, and Kinnara Mela team. In addition, classical music and Yakshagana performances have also been arranged.

Those having interest in culture, literature and theatre, and the teachers who wish to utilize theatrical skills in education, can take part in the camp, said Kinnara Mela director, K G Krishnamurty.
