Mangalore: Thieves Inflict Loss on ‘Mangalore One’ Centre

Mangalore, Apr 12: The recently-opened ‘Mangalore One’ integrated service centre, which is located in the city corporation building in Lalbagh in the city, was targeted by some thieves on the night of Sunday April 10.

The thieves took away Rs 2,75,000 in cash, and two cheques from the centre. They broke open the windows and rods of the backside window of the office for gaining entry into the centre. They then broke open the locks of the table drawers and took away cash and cheques kept there.

Navin Kumar, manager of the centre, filed a complaint in this connection, at Barke police station. The police personnel have registered a case, and begun investigation. The cash and cheques stolen by the thieves were deposited by the customers the previous day.
