Mangalore: CPI (M) to Picket Taluk Office on April 19

Mangalore, Apr 11: The state committee of CPI (M) will picket the Taluk Office on April 19 to protest the failure of state and central government.

B Madhava, secretary, CPI (M) Dakshina Kannada district committee said that both state and union government is in the hands of corrupt politicians. 2G spectrum, CWG scam, Adarsh House scam in the centre and land scam, nepotism in the state have affected the common people badly. Both the governments have failed to curb raising price, he said.

The central government budget proposals intends at cancellation of the ration system. The government is curbing the voice of protestors who was demanding for minimum wages for unorganized labourers. The government is forcibly implementing defective new pension scheme on unorganized labourers, he alleged.

Therefore in order to create awareness among people the picketing will be held on April 19, he informed.
