Udupi, Aug 7: The second Day of Novena was held with special intentions for youth at Our Lady of Velankanni Shrine, Kalmady on Sunday, August 7.

Fr Royson Fernandes, in his homily, said that Mother Mary showed her obedience and she agreed for God's plan to be carried out through her. She not only was obedient to God but at the same time she asked every one of us to be obedient.
During today’s life journey we will be facing or passing through various kinds of issues. To be obedient is not easy but it can bring with it the grace of God. The Holy Catholic Church needs youth today.
To change the universe today, God is calling out to the youths. They are the pillars of the holy Catholic Church. And today every youth has to question themselves whether they are obedient. Every individual might have their own plans but God may think otherwise and to understand that plan of God is very important in today’s journey of life."
