Bantwal: Car deserted with cows – Police trace, arrest illegal traffickers

Bantwal, Jul 24: Vittal police arrested two youths on the accusation of illegally trafficking cows in a car.

The arrested accused are identified as Basheer (28) and Naufal (24). An Alto car was found deserted with two cows tied on the backseat and windshields of both front and back broken on the connection road between Kepu Kallangala and Toranakatte near Beejadadka under Kepu village limits two days ago.

The police rescued the cows but the accused went underground. Now the police have traced and produced the accused to the court. They are remanded to judicial custody.

    for your information Kashmiris seldom eat beef...so are kashmiris who live in POK as i have worked with them in gulf...even many in UP, Bihar and Rajasthan do not eat beef though they are muslims..that is why petta roams freely there....samaj mein aaya? in kerala beef is eaten by all regardless of community...in fact i have seen refrigerator of a hindu keralite friend of mine filled with beef to the brim...like 10 kilos..

    What an achievement- Government should keep up such good work to boost economy. 3 trillion dollars will be achieved as soon as cow are safe in India. Also India should start to import live stock f on all over the world to protect cows this should be our Amrath Kaal vision.

    The best thing to stop stealing of cows will be declaring cow as national animal. However, bjp will no do it ciz they will loose billions by stopping export of beef. 99 percent of beef export factories are owned by Gujratis who have connection with many bjp leaders. Cows cought in various states are transported to Gujrat. Cow slaughter is banned for common public only while it has no restriction for beef exporters. Hundreds of cows are being slaughtered in these beef exporting factories and none is raising their voices. So called gow rakshaks are receiivng commission for supplying cows to these factories.

    Since it is illegal in Karnataka, unlike some other BJP ruled states, the Muslim youths in Karnataka should refrain from cow killing or should go to those BJP ruled states that allow cow killing. Are those who lynched Mohammed Akhlaq unaware that it is their own co-religionists who are the main beef exporters? Also, every time the consignment of beef for export is checked by FSL, they have found cow meat exported by Hindu businessmen, though govt claims on paper that only bufello meat is exported, which a blatant lie. Cows are killed in many of the BJP ruled states, then what is the problem in Karnataka ? Why BJP cannot stop killing the cows in other states ? Why double standard ? Cow in those states are not holy ? Why our BD, VHP and BJP people do not go to those states where cows are killed ? Can any BJP Bakhts answer this ?

    Dear Santan, you are absolutely correct. Cow is sacred for them only to make money. NO bjp cadres are raising their voice on slaughtering of hundreds of cows on daily basis in gujrat beef exporting houses mostly owned by Gujrati brahmins who have connection with bjp leaders. This is a drama for saying cow is sacred. Why dont bjp declare cow as national animal. This is only a drama. Go rakshaks are supply9ijg cows to beef exporting factories and none is stopping them.
