Bengaluru, Jul 21: “We have made enough to last for three to four generations uttering the names of Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. The time to repay the debt has come now,” said former speaker Ramesh Kumar to the party activists.
Speaking in the Congress party protests at Freedom park condemning the summons issued by enforcement directorate (ED) to question Sonia Gandhi, he said that Congress should remain if the country should remain.
“Let us set aside small matters, give up slander and flagrancy. Congress should be strengthened. Sonia Gandhi should be filled with strength,” he said.
"Our two square meals per day will be worth only if Sonia Gandhi says that party workers across the country have stood by her in times of ED summons.
He questioned if RSS, Hindu Mahasabha and Jansangha had gone to jail for freedom of the country.
