Kadaba, Jul 12: The mortal remains of the two missing youths, who fell into the rivulet along with the car in which they were travelling, after crashing into the bridge near Baitadka mosque near Kaniyoor of the taluk on Manjeshwar-Subramanya state highway was found on the morning of Tuesday, July 12.
Though the car was lifted from the rivulet a few hours after the fall, the youths were missing. The search operation was carried out right from 9 AM till late evening on Monday. But the bodies could not be traced.
On the morning of Tuesday, the mortal remains of Dhanush (25), resident of son of Choma Naika, a resident of Kundadka-Santhiyadka, Vittal Mattnoor village, and his relative Dhananjay (21), resident of Vittal Kanyana were found. While one body was found at Marakkada rivulet, 200 meters from the spot of the accident on a wooden log, the other one was found at about 109 meters from the spot where the car fell into the river.
It may be recalled that youths went after a car plunged into the Gowri rivulet in Baithadka near Kaniyooru in Kadaba taluk on June 9.
After the water level in the rivulet receded on the night of Monday, the bodies were found floating.
