Mumbai, Jul 10: Journalists are distinguished citizens who provide justice to the society. So journalists are instrumental in dignity and recognition. Such journalists should give importance to objective reporting without showing any rhetorical content in their writing. The journalists should never hesitate to tell the truth and warn the society Said Minister of Sports, Youth Empowerment, Silk, Planning and Statistics, Government of Karnataka Dr K C Narayana Gowda.

Minister Narayan Gowda said that on Sunday morning in the Club House of Solitary Corporate Park, Andheri East, the journalist’s day program celebrated by the Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra was inaugurated by lighting a lamp.

The programme presided over by Rons Bantwal, President Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh, The Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University Prof. Yadapadithaya was the Chief Guest, Albert W.D'Souza, Chairman of Aldale Education Trust and Model Bank Ltd., Lata Jayaram Shetty (Regency), Former Chair person of Bunts Sangha Mumbai Ladies Wing, Suryakant Jaya Suvarna Director of Bharat Bank Limited were the guests of honour.

Speaking after releasing the logo of the fifteenth anniversary of the President Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh, Prof Media becomes prestigious only when it appeals to the masses by displaying moral values. Albert D'Souza said that press media is still a powerful communication tool when journalists use such a profession properly and judiciously, the society becomes healthy. Although the life of media workers is very dangerous and difficult, the reputation of journalists is that they manage it and win the hearts of the readers.

Lata Shetty said that iIt is imperative that journalists behave as if they are betraying people's trust. Therefore, along with newspapers, journalists should also maintain the trust of the people and maintain the dignity of journalism. The journalists from Mumbai are very hard worker and very honesty.

Rons Bantwal said in the presidential speech that the celebration of this Journalist's Day is full of enthusiasm for the unity of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh in outlying Maharashtra. The participation of majority of members demonstrated the strength of the Sangha. That the association will continue to grow as a model organization for the benefit of the members.

Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee Dr.Suneeta M.Shetty, recipient of the 'Outstanding Specialist' award from AMC Dr.Suresh S.Rao Kateelu, Dr.R.K Shetty (Award ), Dr.Shivaram K. Bhandary who celebrated the 60th Birthday, Police Mitra Organization New Delhi (India) has been appointed as its Navi Mumbai District Chief Dr. Shiva Mudigere was specially honored.

Santosh Devadiga and Sumana Devadiga, who are members of the Sangha and got married in recently and Raghavendra Dayananda Salyan who scored 93.20% in SSC were felicitated.

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Honorary Secretary Ravindra Shetty Thalipadi, Advisory Committee Members Surendra A. Poojary, Gregory D'Almeida, Pandit Navinchandra R. Sanil, Sudhakar Uchil, Special Invitee Members Sa.Daya, CA.Jagdish B. Shetty Surathkal, well-wishers Laxman C. Pujari (NCP), Niranjan L. Pujari, Suresh S. Salan and other members were present.

Vishwanath Dodmane prayed. Vice President Ranga S. Poojary welcomed the gathering. Nithyananda D. Kotyan spoke about Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh. Bhavan Committee Executive Chairman Dr.Shiva Mudigere introduced the awardees. Hon. Treasurer Nagesh Pojary Elinje, Vishwanath Poojary Niddody, Anita P. Poojary Thakode, Vidya M. Bhandary, Savita S. Shetty introduced the guests. Gopal Trasi narrated the program. Jt. Treasurer Dr. G.P Kusuma gave vote of thanks.
