Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 10: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday July 10, reported 13 new coronavirus cases while 10 cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,963 out of which 87 are currently active. As many as 12 patients were discharged on July 10.

No deaths were reported on July 10. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,852.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.5 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

10 coronavirus cases were reported on July 10. The total active Covid cases are 20.

A total of 10,88,817 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,78,360 have received both doses and 1,10,479 people have received booster dose.

Three patients were discharged on July 10.
