Sullia, Jul 10: Earth shook once again in the taluk on the early morning of Sunday, July 10.
The residents of Sampaje and nearby areas, Arantodu, Thodikana, Chembu and Kallapally area shared posts about the tremors at 6:23 AM on social media platforms.
G K Hamid, president of Sampaje gram panchayat said that he felt the earth shaking with tremendous sounds. Arun Rangathamale, member of taluk panchayat said that the tremors of Sunday were more intense.
Sudhakar Thodikana and Congress leader Shahid gave witness of tremors at Peradka, Thodikana and Arantodu areas.
These tremors were felt after a week’s gap. Between June 25 and July 1, the earth shook many times in the areas of Sullia and bordering Kodagu district.
This has become a cause of concern among the public.
