Shivamogga, Jul 8: Ashwini, sister of slain Harsha, who went to seek explanation on the alleged royal treatment being meted to the killers of her brother at the Parappana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru, was taken to task by home minister Araga Jnanendra. People have expressed their anguish over the behaviour of the home minister.
Ashwini met home minister Araga at Bengaluru. She questioned about the "high class facilities" that are being offered to the killers of her brother Harsha at the Parappana Agrahara prison. Araga got angry at the questioning and said, “We are with the whole family of yours. You are speaking as if we are going to cheat you people.” The video of this conversation has gone viral.
After meeting the home minister Ashwini said, “Home minister Araga treated me as if I am a stranger. Earlier when my brother was killed, he only consoled us visiting our house at Shivamogga. I am disappointed with the way he spoke to me in a raised voice. The chances of getting justice from the government is doubtful.”
