Belthangady, Jul 4: Deanery altar servers and Marian sodality convention was held on Sunday July 3 at Holy Redeemer Church Auditorium here.

As many as 444 children from 12 parishes attended the convention. Fr Leo Lasrado, director of vocation and director of Minor Seminary Gladsom, Mangalore diocese was the resource person.

Fr Sany Pinto, campus director of St Philomena College, Puttur conducted the activities and games to the children. Fr Joseph Cardoza, vicar forane of Belthangady deanery inaugurated the convention by lighting the lamp.

Fr Stany Pinto, Fr Vijay Lobo, principal Anugraha PU college, Ujire, Fr Clifford Pinto, principal Holy Redeemer Eng Med School, Belthangady, Aloysius Lobo, vice president parish pastoral council, Pauline Rego, secretary parish pastoral council and Vincent Dsouza, co-ordinator of pastoral commissions.

Fr Leo Lasrado celebrated the Holy Eucharist and preached the homily. Fr James D'Souza, parish priest Ujire, Fr Steevan D'ouza, parish priest Indabettu, Fr Vijay Lobo, Fr Clifford Pinto, Fr WIlliam D'souza, assistant parish priest Madanthyar and Fr Arthur Menezes, resident priest Gardady concelebrated the Mass. Rishel convened the entire programme.
