Sullia, Jun 28: Once again the earth shook in the taluk at around 7.45 am on Tuesday June 28. People ran out of their houses in order to save their lives.
Public felt the tremors at Sampaje, Aranthodu, Peraje, Jalsoor, Ubaradka, Thodikana and Mittur. The tremors were felt exactly at 7.45 am. People who experienced say that the sound generated was much louder before the earth started shaking.
All the utensils inside the houses reportedly fell down and rolled to a distance. Tremors lasted for three to four seconds.
Tremors were reported on June 25 also. A 2.3 intensity earthquake was recorded on the Richter scale on that day according to the report of state natural disaster monitoring center. That was recorded at around 9.09 am and the range was 4.7 km from the epicentre.
