Mangaluru, Jun 26: An auto rickshaw driver returned the purse to its rightful owner who left it in his auto rickshaw while traveling from Soorinje to Katipalla. After searching the woman's residence on the basis of her photograph unsuccessfully, the driver handed over the purse to the Surathkal police station.
It is gathered, four days ago, Pushpa Moolya from Soorinje had hired the auto rickshaw of Manoj Shetty Chokkabettu to go to Katipalla. When she alighted from the auto rickshaw, she left her purse behind. Later, Manoj tried to locate the passenger.
Later, Manoj brought this issue to the notice of Shekar Shetty, former president of Jayakarnataka Rickshaw Drivers and Owners’ Association.
When Shekar Shetty and other searched for the woman by showing her photograph in Soorinje town, they came to know her address.
Later, after inviting the woman to Surathkal police station, inspector Chandrappa and the association of auto drivers and owners, handed over the purse to the woman.
Zonal president of Jayakarnatka Rickshaw Drivers and Owners’ Association Y Raghavendra Rao, president B K R, former president Shekar Shetty and others were present.
