Udupi, June 24: The Congress workers interrupted former chief minister Veerappa Moily during his speech at Nava Sankalpa camp held at Puttur Amruth Garden held under the aegis of district Congress on Friday, June 24.
The workers asked him to stop when Veerappa Moily was speaking about the Congress party’s achievements. Former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake went to the activists and requested them to remain quiet.
“Our booth level activists should vow to make the workers smart. Therefore, suggestions are necessary,” said Moily. KPCC president Dhruva Narayan said that camps strengthen the party.
Leaders obtained opinions and suggestions from various committees to unite the party and held discussions.
District in-charge and former minister Abhayachandra Jain, KPCC vice-president, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MLA U R Sabhapathi, KPCC chief secretary M A Gafoor Udupi, Vidhana Sabha constituency in-charge Mithun Rai, Mamatha Gatti, district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Veronica Corneleo, Geetha Vagle and Deepak Kotian were present.
