Mangaluru, June 21: On the occasion of World Music Day, Mandd Sobhann had organized a unique musical concert, "Transcending Boundaries" on Tuesday, June 21 at Kalangann here.
Eshan Fernandes, studying Materials Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Canada; rendered 12 songs in 12 different languages.
Eshan Fernandes was accompanied by his father, Alwyn Fernandes, on guitar, Stephen Frank on piano and Melwyn Fernandes on percussion. Eminent artist Wilson D'Souza captured the songs on canvas. The paintings were auctioned at the end of the show. Gloria Veigas conducted the auctions.
This 90-minute concert included songs from the Bambara, Arabic, Swedish, Italian, Portuguese - Creole , Konkani, Spanish , Hindustani, English, Kazakh, Hebrew and Armenian languages.
On behalf of Mandd Sobhann and the audience, Luvi Pinto, president felicitated Eshan with a flower bouquet.
Dr Ravishankar Rao compered the event.
