Puttur, Jun 20: The accusation on Shailaja Amarnath, secretary of IT cell of Congress, of insulting Hindu Gods and subsequent attack on her house by Hindu right wing activists has taken a new turn.

Shailaja filed a complaint in city police station saying that she is receiving life threat calls as the audio and video about Lord Ram was edited by a YouTube channel Vikram with her photo and cell number. The complaint is filed against the YouTube channel and its anchor M S Mumtas.

In the complaint, Shailaja urged, “Wrong information is relayed on June 17 due to which I am receiving life threats. In addition, the window panes of my house are smashed by throwing stones and used oil is sprayed on the verandah and walls of my house. In my office, photo of my obituary is put to insult me. Action should be taken against Vikram YouTube channel and its anchor M S Mumtas.”

    @prem, Interesting, God needs human help to save Him ?? Or other way around ? If everyday God visible, He becomes commoner. Sun moon are the testimony for God, what would have happened if Sun were located just one or two meter above or below ? BTW GOD is the Mighty Creator and Oceans of Wisdom that most fail to perceive.

    Police must take strict action against the perpetrators and they must pay the price for this unacceptable behavior... We may witness a lot more such stunts as they are feeling protected... Govt has unilateral actions be it religion wise, text books fiasco or Agnipath situation... Always in critical issues all parties must be consulted and then only policies should be announced... Being in majority does not give you rights to impose what you feel is right... Whatever is done for the nation must be righteous...

    as the elections are nearing these gimmicks of right wing extremists will increase non-blue jp party people should be careful...must keep video and audio records of all their programmes...otherwise these kind of false accusations will put in unnecessary trouble...khaki is also inclined towards the ruling party as usual..
