Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 13: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, Jun 13, reported five new coronavirus case while Udupi registered zero cases.

The total number of positive cases in the DK district has risen to 1,35,660 out of which 32 are currently active.

The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No corona cases were reported on Jun 13, the total active Covid cases are 9.

A total of 10,86,935 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,72,374 have received both doses and 77,458 people have received booster dose.
Udupi , Kundapura and Karkala taluks have reported zero cases respectively.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
