Parvin Dabas: The Pro Panja League has collaborated with the Indian ArmWrestling Federation

Mumbai, Jun 13 (IANS): Parvin Dabas, actor and the owner of Pro Panja League (PPL) has collaborated with the Indian Arm Wrestling Federation with the intention to lift arm wrestling from the ground level and get it the same respect as other Indian sports.

Parvin and Preeti Jhangiani were honoured as special guests of the event recently, where the Telangana Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud, was also present at the competition that was held in Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad.

Talking on the occasion, Parvin said, "The Pro Panja League (PPL) has collaborated with the Indian ArmWrestling Federation who have been conducting amateur arm wrestling competitions for years now. It is our earnest desire to lift arm wrestling from the ground level and get it the same respect that other sports receive in India.

"We are working at grass root level to promote and support arm wrestling. Once we conceptualised the idea of conducting competition and championships we had our minds set on making this one of the most sought-after sports and there has been no stopping us since then."

PPL has had four huge events so far and next on the calendar is the Sheru Classic in Delhi on June 17-19 2022 and then the huge Pro Panja League Ranking Tournament to take place in Gwalior from July 22 -24, which will see a huge turnout of 1,000 athletes.
