Bengaluru, Jun 4: Union minister Shobha Karandlaje said that India’s image in the international arena has increased by leaps and bounds after Narendra Modi became the prime minister (PM) of the country.
Speaking at a press conference in the city on Friday, Shobha said, “PM Modi has completed eight years of rule. In 2014, Modi had toured India with agendas that the country should develop, India should be respected in international arena, corruption should be uprooted and our military should be respected. None of the union ministers in PM Modi’s cabinet carry scams against them.”
With regards to text book revision controversy on mocking Basavanna in prescribed lesson, Shobha said, “During revision of text books, any person or government will not insult Basavanna or Kuvempu. All have high regards for Basavanna. If some words are misplaced during revision, the same should be corrected.”
