Karnataka reports 122 fresh Covid cases, one death reported in last 24-hours

Bengaluru, May 18: Karnataka on Wednesday, May 18 registered 122 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,761. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 112.

The death toll in the state has risen to 40,064.

The state recorded 162 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 39,08,137.

So far, Karnataka has seen 39,50,004 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.58%, case fatality rate at 0.81%.

So far 10,75,04,018 people have received vaccination so far.
