Social Worker Samuel Joshua from Udupi Passes Away

Mumbai, Feb 23: Samuel Joshua, father of Kelvin Joshua, chief of Zee News crime desk, Maharashtra, passed away after a brief illness at his house in Povai here on Wednesday February 23. He was 72.

Samuel Joshua hailed from Karangalpady in Udupi. He served as an engineer in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district, before working as a consultant in Mumbai.

He was especially popular among people of Tulu-Kannada origins, and was known for promoting religious harmony. He was an active social worker too.

Samuel Joshua, a widower, leaves behind his two sons and two daughters.

    Dear Kelvin:

    It gives us great sorrows to hear the death of your dear Dad and our wonderful brother in Christ. He was a great inspiration in our Church and we all miss him. We are also praying for all his four dear children that the Lord will grant joy peace and blessings and take away your tears and sorrows. We are always with you. Because of my brother's sons wedding on 27th, we could not come to Bombay for his funerals. Be of good cheer as we all have to leave this world one day sooner or later. So prepare to meet the Lord. May God bless all of you.
